S. Safumi is a first-class stained glass artisan based in Osaka, Japan, who started their career in 1991. They became an assistant at the NHK stained glass classroom in Osaka in 1994 and later became a lecturer for the same classroom in 1998. In 2001, Safumi became the founder of the stained glass studio Leverre in Osaka and established the Awaji Stained Glass Studio in Hyogo Prefecture in 2008. Safumi holds qualifications as a first-class stained glass artisan and first-class stained glass management skills artisan. They have exhibited their works in various galleries and exhibitions, including the Kobe Shimbun Stained Glass Exhibition and the Kyoto Museum of International Cultural Exchange Award Winners Exhibition. Safumi's stained glass panels can be found in the lobby of the Sumoto City Hall and Fukui Museum of Art, among other locations. Their exhibitions have been featured in various publications such as Asahi Shimbun, Sankei Shimbun, and Yomiuri Shimbun. Safumi has also been featured in various TV shows such as "Yo-i Don" and "Chichin Puipui". They were appointed as a board member of the Japan Stained Glass Association in 2016 and the Hyogo Prefecture Stained Glass Artisan Association in 2018. Safumi's stained glass panels are on display in various locations, including the Fukui Museum of Art and the Taiwan Museum of Art. In 2020, Safumi's stained glass panels were installed in the main entrance hall of the Sumoto City Hall in Hyogo Prefecture.
